Movie Verdict
Vishwak Sen doesn’t like to be typecasted, that is why he always wants to come up with an interesting flick. coming to Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam, the film’s biggest plus point is the relatable storyline, as today’s generation’s major problem is late 30s marriage and I’m sure this redefined the late 30s marriage stigma.
The movie starts off well, as the director didn’t waste the time entering into the main plot, The pace of the movie goes quite well about 15 to 20 minutes, after that the film’s screenplay becomes a bit slow, From the pre-interval, the movie starts getting interested, and in the first few comedy scenes land well but we can see the artificiality in a lot of characters behavior. The second half is the backbone of the film, Arjun’s conflict builds quite well in the second half but the payoff could have been better.
Coming to the performances Vishwak Sen as Allam Arjun, Firstly we should appreciate for choosing this script and portraying the middle-aged character. As Allam Arjun he jas justified his character and he delivered a fine performance and he emotes well in some comedy scenes, despite all these his look is a bit artificial, Rukshar Dhillon as Pasupuleti Madhavi is just as good as Allam Arjun, one of the well written female characters in recent times and she did it perfectly as Madhavi and rest of the cast are did their part well.
Comming to technicalities, the writer of the film is Ravi Kiran Kola, who was directed a film called Raja Vaaru Rani Vaaru, Somehow we have been missing these types of clean family entertainment films over the decade and he slowly creating his mark in Telugu film industry and I’m sure he becomes a good writer in future. Here we should talk about the director Vidya Sagar Chinta, he failed in some parts but overall he manages to keep engaging the audiace.
Pavi K Pavan’s cinematography is good as he captured what the film needs and Jay Krish’s music plays an important role in the film, he has uses some different sounding and in a lot of scenes he made the audience laugh with his unique sounding and the rest of the departments did well.
Finally, Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam is worth watching movie and the movie redefined the social stigma of late 30s marriage.
