On September 30, 2022, the first part of Maniratnam’s beloved movie Ponniyin Selvan came out in all of its languages. Because the first part made a lot of money and got good reviews, it has the highest box office total in Kollywood. Since then, many moviegoers have been waiting for the sequel, PS 2, which is now set to come out on April 28.

After fighting with Pandiyas, Jayam Ravi’s character Arulmozhi Varman and Karthi’s character Vandhiyathevan died in the water. This left PS 1 on a cliffhanger. The end credits of the first movie also showed Oomai Rani’s face, which confused people because Aishwarya Rai also plays the role.
