Movie Verdict
Farzi has a brilliant premise that pulls you into the world of Farzi and makes you part of it at the beginning. The series starts off interestingly, it then dives into the world of Sunny, though the first 2 episodes have enough moments, and Raj & Dk mark humor, you can see mostly Shahid Kapoor’s world-building but it’s relatable for every middle-class guy.
The series gets interesting when Sunny decides to counterfeit money, and from then on the racy screenplay, and the way he replicates the currency notes, in all these sequences makes us glued to our seats. The dialogues are very meaningful and they will make you think for sure. These 8 episodes of crime drama have enough moments, and humor that will make invested all sections of the audience. The pace dips here and there in all episodes but it’s very common for a web series.
Talking about performances, Shahid Kapoor as Sunny is the perfect choice for their role, he just killed it as a middle-class guy who struggles with poverty. Rashi Khanna as Megha did a fair job, and Vijay Sethu pathi as task force officer is another advantage of the series, and he as usual nailed it, Kay Kay Menon is good in his role, rest of the cast did their best as per their respective roles.
Raj & Dk has a unique way of storytelling, though the plot looks serious, they narrate it with subtle humor that no one can easily do it. The plot of Farzi itself is captivating and they presented it quite well, despite the few flaws, they have succeeded in engaging g the audience.
Technically, Farzi is top-notch, Pankaj Kumar’s cinematography is good, especially the scenes of Printing Press, Sachin-JIgar’s songs, and background score apt for the series, and the rest of the technical crew did their best.
To sum it up, Farzi is an engaging series with Raj & Dk mark’s humor
