Shaakuntalam movie is available for streaming on 11 May 2023 on Amazon Prime Video.  Samantha basked in the blockbuster with a film called Yashoda, helmed by Hari- Harish. Now that all the eyeballs on Shakuntalam, Samantha plays the main lead in the movie, which is touted to be a mythological film, and the film will be shot in Telugu, released in Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam as well. However, the film Shakuntalam has been postponed several times because the makers stated that the film was made in a gradual manner, so they believed that watching it in 3D would be a visual feast. 

It will take more time to convert a normal version into 3D, so the movie makers have decided to postpone the film; no new release date has been announced as of yet, but we can expect the film to be released in February 2023.

He is known for creating films with never-before-seen sets, such as Okkadu, starring Mahesh Babu, for which he built a set of Charminar, which was the largest set ever built in Tollywood at the time. Likewise, he said that Shakuntalam has the scope to erect unbelievably large sets, and it will be a visual feast in the theaters.

Shaakuntalam movie digital rights were acquired by Amazon Prime Video it’s streaming on 11 May 2023. Gunsekar was simultaneously working on a script called “Hiranya Kasyapu,” and he wanted to do that film with Ballaladev Rana Daggubati, but recently Suresh Babu said that Gunasekar was out of the project, but he didn’t divulge the actual reason. However, right now his complete concentration is on Shakuntalam.
