Movie Verdict

The film starts off on a good note by establishing the two characters in the first half of the narrative is quite engaging with the right amount of comedy whereas the many scenes in the first half are much more relatable as how husband and wife deal with their egos showcased in a funny way which may hook you in the first half for while but the story didn’t progress in the first and By not establishing conflict in the first half, we become disconnected from the story, expect few action blocks and comedy the first half doesn’t offer you anything.

The second half starts off completely opposite to the first half as the story gets interesting once Veera decided to learn Kusthi, Although initially cultivated good comedy with his action but once his motive is revealed we get to see a new dimension in the character,  however, all the emotions have balanced in the second half quite well and it makes you invested in the story.

Vishnu Vishal as Veera is brilliant as his character has two shades the second one is quite good watching on screen and he did a brilliant job by playing the two roles, the show stealer, Aishwarya Lekshmi who impressed with her performance as she brilliantly showcased the variations of aggressive girl and innocent girl and rest of the cast Gajaraj, Karunas, Sreeja Ravi, Munishkanth, Kaali Venkat, Redin Kingsley, Hareesh Peradi, Ajay, Shatru did their best.

Chella Ayyavu came up with a relatable story but he failed in blending the love story and sport Although he succeeded in bringing comedy which might engage a few sections of the audience.

Technically, Matti Kusthi is not up to the mark, Richard M Nathan’s cinematography looks old as the frame is filled with over-saturated colors which was the biggest drawback for the film and Justin Prabhakaran’s songs are not up to the mark, though he is known for melody songs and cool bgm, he impressed with his background score and rest of the team did well.

Overall, Matti Kusthi is a one-time-watch commercial entertainer.
