Movie Verdict
The biggest plus point of Michale is the raw and rustic premise which pulls you into the world of Michael and makes you part of it. The film starts off with a bang, and later we get to see the ruthless gang’s introductions, despite the snail-paced love track, the first half has enough whistle-worthy moments which make us invested in the story.
The second half where the action mode on and makes you invested in the story, though the second half has a lot of action it carries the emotion of Michael about his girl which makes you move. Though the story is regular, the premise and intense performances of all the actors hold the audience’s attention, and the love track and their romantic scenes might engage a few sections of the audience.
Talking about performances Sundeep Kishan as Michael does an impeccable job, right from his transformation to performance he did a phenomenal job as we can Michael will be the best film in his career, Divyansha Kaushik does a fair job, Vijay Sethupathi as usual killed it, Gautham Menon, Varalaxmi, Anasuya, Varun Sandesh did their best and rest of the cast did well as per the story requires.
Ranjit Jeyakodi directs the film and should appreciate bringing the talented actors under one roof, although he partly succeeded in presenting the film. All the characters he designed quite well and every character has a beginning and end but if we look at it as a story he failed, despite the flaws, he partly succeeded in engaging the audience. Technically, Michael looks great, and Kiran Koushik’s cinematography is good, despite the over-saturated color he makes you part of Michael with the lighting, framing, and Sam CS’s songs that are not up to the mark but he is impressed with his background score.
Overall, Michael is a decent action drama that can be watched only by action lovers.
