Writer Padmabhushan Review: Suhas is one such actor who created a unique identity with his films though he did very less films. Undoubtedly Family Drama film and Hit 2 brought out the best in Suhas and now Writer Padmabhushan is another film that seems to bring out the new side of Suhas, well, the film’s trailer has grabbed the attention and raised expectations and without any delay let’s get into the in-depth review and find out how it turned out to be.
Story
P. Padamabhushan(Suhas) works as an assistant librarian who dreams to become a good writer, in order to become a writer he took a loan with an interest of 3% and publish a book, however, he struggles sale his book no one even would like to read it, meanwhile he fell in love with a girl and decided to get married but twist arises in the tale when Padmabhushan holds a secret. Finally, what was the secret that Padmabhushan hides needs to be seen in the film.

Movie Verdict
The film starts off on a slow note with all the characters establishment with their likes and dislikes, though the pace looks to dip at the beginning itself, although it actually helps you to travel with each character throughout the film. Once Suhas enters the field the first half went with the right amount of humor and engageable drama and the interval twist makes you curious to watch the latter half. The second half where the pace of the screenplay falls flat in the beginning but Suhas makes us invested in the latter half with his performance, though the plot is wafer thin the humor of all characters and drama holds your attention and makes you sit throughout the film.
Talking about the performances, Suhas, as Padmabhushan is just speechless as this character, is tailor-made for him, be it love scenes, be it comedy, be it emotion he perfectly delivered on screen and the fact is he is the only saving grace for the film, Tina Shilparaj does well within the limits as she got good screen time and she utilizes it, after Suhas, Ashish Vidyarthi as middle-class father and Rohini as a middle-class mother just brilliant and rest of the cast did tier best as per the story requires.
Shanmukh Prashanth directs the film, though he chooses a wafer-thin plot, although he presented the film quite well with the right amount of humor. Despite the few flaws Shanmukh Prashanth succeeded in engaging the audience. Technically, the film is good, Venkat R Shakamuri’s cinematography is just okay but should have been much better, Shekar Chandra’s songs are not up to the mark but he did his best in giving the background score.
To sum it up, Writer Padmabhushan is an engaging comedy-drama that can be watchable only for Suhas.
